The Bread And Butter Letter launched their new exclusive Ceramic range last week. I got to work and saw them in person for the first time today..and wow! I'm in love... They are amazing ceramic vases made from molds of vintage bottles and a light bulb! A few months ago the site next to The Bread And Butter Letter building was excavated in-order to make way for a new building. While digging the construction workers found a series of vintage glass bottles dating back to the 1910′s and gave them all to the shop!  These vases are all handmade with thick shinny ceramic. Some of them have beautiful writing on them like "Milk station" and "Whittome Stevenson and Co Auckland" (which is a New Zealand condiment company from the early 1900's, I found this little newspaper article about it). I am a super sucker for nostalgia and I must have these...don't you think my pom pom flowers would look amazingggg in them?? These gems are available in The Bread and Butter Letter's online shop or in store.

The Urbis Designday is New Zealand's top design event that includes the most inspiring creatives and design collaborations. There were twelve locations this year and taxis to drive you from each location to the next. Each stop was jammed full of goodness! Lots of delicious food, wine, and beautiful people... and of course so much amazing design and art ranging from fashion, interior, sculpture, painting, jewelry, automotive, make-up, and much more that I'm sure I'm missing. There was something was for everyone. Even fun things like bath tubs full of m&m's, cotton candy, painting murals, and photo booths!! What can be better than spending the entire day gallivanting around the city perusing the countries best of the best from the design, fashion, and the art worlds. At the end of the day I left feeling so insanely inspired! (photos by me/original source)

I have been thinking a lot this week about inspiration. What it means and what inspires me. I can not wait to get my hands on one if these new books from Frankie Magazine called Spaces, which contains beautiful homes and interiors that belong to graphic designers, photographers, vintage collectors and shop owners from all over the world! Your space is something very persona and close to your heart I think. And to get the opportunity to get a peak at some artists homes that I admire so much makes me very excited!

What can I say.. I needed a quick, cheap, temporary home for these pretty flowers. To Do: cut plastic coke bottles (mine are 1.5L) in half. poke holes in bottom. can add some funky tape to make brim or not.
